Choosing The Right Frame For You
At Occuleye we believe your glasses should be fashionable as well as functional.  After all, the better you look, the better you feel!  We’ve given you a basic guide to help you choose the best frame to suit you, so that whatever your face shape you’ll look and feel fantastic.
If your face is square...

Square faces typically have a wide forehead and a broad chin, and are roughly as short as they are wide.  You can lengthen your face by wearing wide, shallow frames.

The jaw tends to be very strong and angular, and this can be either emphasised by wearing bold rectangular frames, or softened by wearing oval or gently rounded frames.

If your face is rectangular...

Like square faces, rectangular faces feature strong angles and a wide forehead and jaw.  However, rectangular faces are much longer.  You may wish to shorten your face by wearing larger frames with more depth.

Avoid frames that are too shallow as they will make your face appear longer.

If your face is round…

Round faces have approximately the same width and height, and don’t have any strong angles.  They feature a wide forehead and a round chin.  If you have a round face you should choose wide, angular frames to lengthen your face and increase definition.

Avoid round shapes as they will make your face look even rounder.

If your face is heart shaped…

Heart shaped faces have a wide forehead and a much smaller chin.  You can balance this out by choosing frames that are wider or bolder at the bottom than at the top.

Avoid anything that is too bold at the top, as this will make you look “top heavy”.  Another way to avoid this is by wearing rimless frames.

If your face is oval…

Oval faces are gently rounded, with no harsh angles, and their proportions are fairly evenly balanced.  If you have an oval face you can wear almost any shape.

However you should still consider the size of your face and avoid anything that is too big or too small for your face.
